About

A voice raised on zemiros

Dovid grew up the oldest of five, singing for anyone who would listen. His uncle would announce “Introducing Dovid Rotberg!” and he would belt out zemiros at the family table. As a kid he sang with the Kolainu Boys Choir.

He learned at Yeshiva Ktana, Heichal Hatorah and Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh in Jerusalem. When a friend asked him to sing a chuppah together after yeshiva, he fell in love with weddings, and with using the gift Hashem gave him to add to the simcha of a chosson and kallah.

Today he is the voice behind the viral a cappella series Harmony and his new album Melody.

The way he works

Dovid likes to come early and meet the family. Every chuppah is customized, and he puts real effort into every wedding so the chosson and kallah have the most beautiful night of their lives. He has been known to keep singing after the paid time is up, simply because people were enjoying it.

“It’s not a job to me. It is an honor to be part of the simcha.”
